兴蔬春秀苦瓜的选育

Breeding of Bitter Gourd Cultivar Chunxiu

兴蔬春秀是以福建地方品种自交系G160-2为母本、以台湾翠宝苦瓜后代自交系G209为父本选育的中熟刺瘤苦瓜,长沙地区春季从播种至采收80 d左右,瓜圆筒形,表皮绿白色,单瓜质量400 g左右,平均667 m^2产量5 000 kg,抗白粉病和疫病,适于长江流域及华南等地春露地和秋延后栽培。

Chunxiu is a new bitter gourd F_1 hybrid developed by crossing two inbred lines G160-2 and G209, and the female parent G160-2 is a Fujian local bitter gourd cultivar, while the male parent G209 was the progeny of Taiwan Cuibao bitter gourd. It is middle-maturing and takes about 80 days from sowing to harvest in spring in Changsha region.The fruit is cylindrical and in green-white color. The average fruit weight is 400 g and average yield is 5 000 kg/667 m^2.It is resistant to powdery mildew and epidemic disease. It is suitable for open field cultivation in spring and later autumn cultivation in Yangtze river and southern China.
