In a globalized context, women aged between 20 and 30 have become an unignorable part of the society as they are a group much given to consuming literature. As a result, a kind of literature, known as‘Chick Lit', has emerged that women write for women and that has caught attention. The concept arose in as early as 2000 in South Korea. When South Korean pop fiction, represented by Guiyeoni, swept the Chinese market in 2003, South Korea's Chick Lit, targeting young women, was also introduced to China. As a product of mass culture, While it meets the demand of the readers, South Korea's Chick Lit has also its own problems. This article seeks to briefly look forward to its possible development in the future.
