吴岸是马华也是世界华文文学界一个不容忽视的诗人,受到三个文学传统的影响,其作品中如下三重矛盾尤为突出:传统与现代、理想与现实、思想与艺术。这三重矛盾,有一些阻碍了他,拖累了他,但也有一些成就了他的诗歌创作。

Wu An, while a Malaysian-Chinese poet, is also one that can＇t be ignored in the world of literature in Chinese.Influenced by three literary traditions, his work has three outstanding contradictions, between tradition and modernity, ideal and reality, thought and art. These three contradictions are hindrance to him but have also, to some degree, helped him achieve poetically.
