摘要
对课堂沉默现象的研究不胜枚举,却鲜有涉猎研究生公共英语课堂沉默的实证研究。文章通过问卷调查,揭示研究生阶段公共英语课堂沉默现状;利用因子分析,探索导致课堂沉默各因素间的内在联系;通过独立样本T检验,对比沉默程度高低不同的学生在各个因素上的差异性。研究结果显示研究生英语课堂沉默的主要因素为内在因素。改善课堂沉默现象应该着眼于外在因素,以外推内。
Although researches have been carried out on students' reticence in English classroom,few have focused on nonEnglish major postgraduates.Through an empirical research,this paper tries to find out the status quo of classroom reticence of non-English major postgraduates.Factor analysis and independent-samples T test suggest the inner connection among contributing factors and differences between students with high level of reticence and those of low level respectively.The result shows that internal factors are more influential on postgraduates.And the author proposes some solutions in hope of reducing reticence in postgraduate classrooms.
