孟子权变思想的逻辑理路

On The Logical Thought of Mencius' Thought on Contingency

儒家一直是恪守纲常的代表,但儒家的代表之一孟子却提出不拘泥纲常的权变思想。这不是孟子对传统儒学的反叛,而是如何将儒家文化更好地应用于变化多端的现实社会的可贵尝试。一方面,孟子经权观中背反于经的激进权智,把儒家的原则灵活运用于不同现实语境中;另一方面,又着眼于返归于经的温和权慧,认为权变思想不是解构而是巩固了儒家思想的主流地位。探讨孟子权变思维方式在社会主义核心价值观潮流下的时代意义,有助于将主流价值观和个性发展统一到民族精神文明建设的历史进程中。

Confucian Scholars have been representing traditional Chinese rules, while Mencius, as one of the representatives of Confucian scholars, put forward the Thought of Contingency, a new idea which completely differed from the traditional rules. This does not mean Mencius has rebelled from the traditional Confucianism, but shows that Mencius has bravely tried to apply Confucian culture into changing social practice. On the one hand, the wisdom of radical contingency, which contained in Mencius＇ view of principle but is on the contrary to the principle, shows flexible application of Confucian principles into various practical language environments; on the other hand, based on the wisdom of mild contingency, Mencius thought that the Thought of Contingency did not disintegrate Confucian thought but consolidated its major position. We should study the significance of thinking mode guided by Mencius＇ s Thought of Contingency in the environment of Socialist Core Value, which will be helpful for us to combine mainstream values and individual development into the historical process of constructing national spiritual civilization.
