摘要
《北极航海地图集》是我国首部详细反映北极自然地理、通航条件和助航资源的大型综合性地图集,特殊的地理条件决定了其在编绘方式上与其他图集不同。针对图集编制中遇到的问题,从资料收集与处理、内容设计、专题要素表示方法、色彩与符号设计、版式设计、地图整饰、工艺流程等7个方面,介绍了图集的设计思想与编制技术,可为其他同类图集的编制提供参考。
Atlas of Arctic Navigation,as the first large comprehensive atlas to describe the physical geography,navigation condition and resource in the Arctic region,is different from any others because of the special geographical environment.Regarding the difficulties when compiling the atlas,this paper presents the process of designing and compiling from the following seven aspects： the collection and selection of cartographic materials,content design,portrayal of thematic elements,color and symbol design,format design,map decoration and technical process flow,which can be reviewed as a reference for the design of other similar atlas.
