不同程度倾斜下的车牌定位和车牌矫正方法

License Plate Location and Slant Correction in different gradient

为了提高不同程度倾斜下车牌定位的准确性,提出根据车牌字符到直线纵向距离均方差的大小来定位车牌的方法。在车牌定位的同时也得到了车牌的水平倾斜度,这简化了后续车牌矫正的步骤。实验表明,在不同程度倾斜下,该方法对车牌的定位和矫正有较好的效果。

For improving the accuracy of the license plate location in different gradient,a new license plate location algorithm based on mean square error（MSE） of lengthways distances between every character and a line is proposed. When the license plate is located,the degree of horizontal tilt is also obtained,which can simplify the step of license plate slant correction.Experiments show that this method has a better result in license plate location and slant correction under the different gradient.
