Major damage in steel ropes and loss reduction measures for gantry crane

门座起重机的钢丝绳为易损件,通过对钢丝绳在使用过程中损伤情况的调查、研究,发现钢丝绳首先达到报废标准的部位出现在钢丝绳前段主要的起升高度范围内。针对这一情况,在钢丝绳起升卷筒上增设钢丝绳储存区,以提高钢丝绳的有效寿命,降低企业维护成本,这种降耗措施在海港的大型门座起重机上得到了推广运用。

Steel rope of the gantry crane is wearable. With investigating and research on the damage condition of steel rope during use,it＇ s found that the part of the steel rope that should be discarded according to the standard first is within the main lifting height of the front section. To deal with such situation,a steel rope storage area is set on the rope lifting coiling block to improve effective service life of the steel rope and reduce the maintenance cost for the enterprise. The loss reduction measures are widely applied in large-scale gantry cranes of the port.
