我国的地方性法规、民族自治地方自治条例和单行条例、经济特区法规、地方政府规章对村规民约、乡规民约进行了规范。地方法规规章关于村规民约、乡规民约的规范涉及乡村治理的政治、经济、社会、文化诸领域,包括村民自治、农村治安、农村自然资源保护与利用、农村环境保护、农村公共事务、农民权益保护、农村纠纷解决等方面,较为全面的调整乡村社会关系,维护乡村社会秩序,促进乡村经济社会发展和农民生活水平提高。

In our country,village regulations and agreements are contained in all kinds of law and regulations,such as local law,the autonomy regulations and separate regulations of the national autonomous areas,regulations of the special economic zones,local government regulations. Village law and agreements in the local law and local government regulations involves political,economic,social,cultural and others domains,including self- administration of villagers,rural public security,rural natural resources protection and utilization,rural environmental protection,rural public affairs,protection and rescue of peasants＇ rights,settlements of rural disputes etc.,all of which can adjust social relationships,safeguard social order,promote rural economic development and improve peasants＇ living standards thoroughly.
