大学校长该不该退出学术委员会——缘起、解读及求解

Should the University President Withdraw from the Academic Committee——Causes, Interpretation and Suggestions

"大学校长该不该退出学术委员会"的争论映射着一个根本性问题,即学术权力深受行政权力的干预。事实上,学术权力与行政权力是内在统一的,两者之间不存在解不开的死结。研究认为,"大学校长该不该退出学术委员会"是一个内外交错、宏微相连的系统性问题。要解答这个问题,既需要加强大学学术委员会制度建设,又需要树立大学学术委员会的权威,还需要革除大学校长身份异化问题,而不在于"大学校长退不退出学术委员会"。

The debate whether the university president should withdraw from the academic committee is related to another fundamental issue, that is, whether the administrative power should interfere with academic power. In fact, the academic power and administrative power are of an inherent unity and not contradictory to each other. This essay argues that this issue concerns to a depths the management of the whole university. To better solve the problem of administrative power interfering with academic power, we need to further improve rules concerning the university academic committee, to help it build its authority, and, at the same time, restore university presidency to its proper position.
