Flocculation is a common procedure of the water treatment process. The method can effectively reduce the concentration of turbidity and other pollutants in raw water. So the study of flocculation is inevitable. This paper mainly discussed the flocculation reaction mechanism, influence factors and development process. In addition, a special flocculation technology- loading flocculation method was also introduced, providing a powerful reference tool to expand the application scope of flocculation technology.
