摘要 移动端应用的高速增长更好地体现了3G EV-DO的重要性。为更加准确地测量EV-DO网络的带宽,文中利用EV-DO网络嗅探器和Wireshark2工具来捕获蜂窝网的通信量进行测量,进行了数据速率控制、报文封装、包到达时间、分组丢失模式和队列管理等一系列的实验测试以更深层次地理解EV-DO。实验结果表明:非移动EV-DO用户数据速率比之前短时间内很少变化及长时间内有较多随机行为的用户有更好的稳定性,有较频繁的低级别数据包封装发生;定制服务提供商配置、操作系统差异可以混淆相对于EVDO规格的网络行为。 The growth of mobile streaming applications has increased the importance of a better understanding of 3G EVDO performance.For a more accurate measurement of EV- DO network bandwidth,EVDO network sniffer and Wireshark2 tool is applied to capture cellular network traffic for measurement,carrying on a series of experimental measurements including data rate control,packet encapsulation,packet interarrival time,packet loss pattern and queue management to offer an in- depth,crosslayer understanding of EV- DO. The results demonstrate that data rates for non- mobile EV- DO users are more stable than previously reported with little variance over short time scales and more random behavior over long time scales; low- level packet encapsulation / combination happens frequently; and custom service provider configurations and operating system differences can obfuscate network behavior relative to EV- DO specifications.
