In Weishu,there are few records of Kou Meng,a nobody in the Northern Wei Dynasty,and his life experience was not unveiled until his inscription was unearthed. Kou ＇s inscription provides detailed historical facts of his family background,and clues to study on the surname Kouyin as well. The sharp contrast between records of Kou in his inscription and Weishu shows that the society was undergoing drastic changes at that time.
