摘要
英语生物医学论文中存在严重的词语滥用现象,大大影响了论文的整体质量。本文列举了生物医学论文中三个滥用频率最高的词respectively、significantly和can/could,并对错误例句进行分析。希望引起科研工作者以及期刊编辑对词语滥用这一问题的重视并促进对这些词语的谨慎使用,进一步提高论文质量。
Overuse of words is very common in English biomedical papers,which dramatically decreases paper quality.This article focuses on three most overused words in biomedical papers,respectively,significantly and can/could.Examples of incorrect use of these words are also provided and analyzed in the hope of drawing attention from medical researchers and editors to prudent use of these words to further improve the quality of biomedical papers.
