Genesis Mythology and Different Traditional Modes of Thinking in China and the West

思维方式是连接语言和文化的中介,是语言生成的内在机制。因此,语言与文化的关系研究,需要深入研究与语言和文化均有密切关系的思维方式。中西方创世神话孕育了中西方思维方式的差异性,这种差异是由于中西方不同的生存环境、历史发展和经济社会状况所造成的。而创世神话所孕育的中西方思维方式的差异是相对的,中西方各自的思维方式又是相互联系的。中西方创世神话中反映出的中西方思维方式差异表现为:整体性与分析性、伦理性与认知性、内向性与外向性、后馈性与超前性。

Mode of thinking is the bridge between language and culture, and the inherent mechanism of language generation. Therefore, to study the relationship between language and culture is necessary to go into the mode of thinking, which has close correlation with both language and culture. The genesis mythology in China and the West generated their separate different ways of thinking. Such difference is caused by the different living environment, history development, economic and social conditions between China and the West. And yet, the difference of thinking modes in China and the West generated by their separate genesis mythologies is relative, and the modes of thinking in China and the West are also interconnected. The genesis mythologies in China and the West reflect that the differences of their thinking modes are presented in imegrality and analyticity, ethicality and cognition, introversion and extraversion, afterward and forward thinking.
