大刀、三脚凳和圆球——《福乐智慧》文化意象的互文性解读和英译比较研究

Intertextual interpretations of Cultural Images in Kutadgu Bilig and a Comparative Study on Their English Translations

玉素甫·哈斯·哈吉甫在《福乐智慧》中运用象征的手法,借用大刀、三脚凳和圆球的形象阐释了"幸福"、"幸运"、"正义"的含义,成功缔造了大刀、三脚凳和圆球的文化意象。本文认为这种文化意象具有互文性特征,与遥远的希腊文化存在一定联系。这种文化意象的互文性经两位译者之手,在英语文本中又呈现出截然不同的特点。

Yūsuf Khāss Hājib interprets the philosophical meaning of＂Happiness＂,＂Fortune＂,and＂Justice＂in Kutadgu Bilig by employing symbolically the images of a knife,a three-legged stool,and a ball,to establish successful cultural images for their rich connotations.In this paper,it is discovered that these cultural images have relevance with some distant Greek cultural elements and display intertextual features. However,these intertextual features of cultural images take on different look in two English versions with the manipulation of two translators.
