摘要 本文介绍"新目标大学英语系列教材"之《综合教程》的编写理念、目标与特色。《综合教程》以认知语言学关于语言和语言学习的本质认识为指导,确定了回归语言本体,语言、文化、思维能力同步提高和基于内容的语块教学的编写理念,旨在实现两个目标:(1)一课一得,实现有效课堂教学;(2)授人以渔,好学好教,培养学生的自主学习能力。教程的特色体现在6个方面:(1)选材多元,经典与现代、人文与科技有机融合;(2)阅读练习既练阅读技能又练表达能力,突出思辨能力培养;(3)词汇练习突出词语的组合与相关知识的网络化,实现词汇深度习得;(4)翻译练习培养准确表达能力与跨文化交际能力,兼顾语言形式;(5)写作练习提供解题指导和语言表达资源;(6)听说读写译内在关联,融为一体。 This paper introduces the compiling principles,objectives,and features of the Integrated Course in the New Target College English Series. Based on the tenets of cognitive linguistics,it establishes two principles as its guidelines:( 1) holistic education for the improvement of language competence,cultural awareness and critical thinking skills;( 2) content-based chunk learning and instruction. It sets two objectives in its compilation:( 1) one gain for one class through effective instruction;( 2) user friendly to increase learner autonomy. The textbook outshines in six aspects:( 1) a carefully selected variety of classic and modern,liberal and scientific learning materials;( 2) the reading comprehension exercises not only improve students' reading and expressing ability,but also train them to think critically;( 3) the vocabulary exercises focus on the collocations and meaning networks to achieve depth of vocabulary acquisition;( 4) the translation exercises,with focus on form,aim for accurate expression and better cross-cultural communication;( 5) the writing tasks provide instructions for completing tasks and possible linguistic resources;( 6)listening,speaking,reading,writing and translating skills interact to develop students' overall language competence.
