摘要
本文实现了一款应用于脉冲无线电超宽带系统的低功耗6~9 GHz开关键控(OOK)发射机。发射机由脉冲发生器、基于脉冲开/关的LC电压控制振荡器和输出缓冲器组成;为了便于与片外天线连接,输出缓冲器将差分信号转换成单端信号输出。芯片采用TSMC 0.13μm CMOS工艺实现。测试结果表明最高数据率能达到500MHz,最大发射脉冲峰峰值达到260m V。满足FCC频谱规范时,消耗的电流为2.5m A@500 Mbps,约6p J/pulse。芯片面积为1.21×0.73mm2。
A low power 6~9 GHz OOK transmitter for IR-UWB was implemented. The transmitter consists of a pulse generator, a LC-VCO based on ON/OFF switching operation and an output buffer. In order to facilitate the connection with the off-chip antenna, the output buffer converts differential signal to single-ended signal. It is fabricated in TSMC 0.13μm CMOS technology. Measured results show that the data rate of transmitter is up to 500 Mbps and the highest peak-to-peak voltage can achieve 260 m V. The total current consumption is about 2.5m A@500Mbps while under FCC spectrum specification, about 6p J/pulse. The chip area is 1.21×0.73 mm2.
