语块加工和非英语专业英语作文质量的相关性研究

Correlation between Chunk Processing and the Writing Performance of Non-English Majors

以某高校非英语专业学生为研究对象,重点考察语块加工和英语作文质量的相关性,研究发现:两组学生的语块使用能力非常有限;两组学生在正确语块使用方面存在显著差异,正确语块使用数与写作成绩成显著正相关;两组学生在谚语方面差异不显著,而在多词词汇、动词语块和形容词语块方面差异显著。基于以上结果,建议在以后大学英语教学中加大语块提取练习,并将网络语料库与写作教学相结合。

Taking non-English majors as the participants,an empirical study was conducted to explore the correlation between chunk processing and the performance of English writing.The major findings include：two groups are significantly different in correct use of chunks,which is positively correlated with writing performance;significant difference has not been found in the use of proverbs,but in multi-word items,verb and adjective chunks.Based on these findings,it is suggested that chunk identification practice be emphasized in college English teaching and that Internet corpus be introduced in writing teaching.
