Survey And Cognition About Great Wall Of The Ming Dynasty Along Helan Mountain

宁夏贺兰山自古就是阿拉善高原进入宁夏平原的重要通道,在这里历史上曾发生许多战事。沿贺兰山分布的明长城以山险墙、石垒墙、夯土墙等多种形式或分布于山势嵯峨的贺兰山上,或沿山前洪积扇上蜿蜒,构成一道坚固的军事防线。2014年,为编制宁夏长城保护规划对贺兰山沿线长城进行了实地调查,建立初步认知。

Helan Mountain in Ningxia has been an important passageway to enter into Ningxia Plain from Alxa Plateau since ancient times. Many wars occurred at this place. Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty distributes along the towering Helan Mountain or wriggles along the alluvial-diluvial fans in front of the mountain in the form of precipitous wall, stone wall and rammed earth wall, etc., thus forming a solid military defensive line. In 2014, field survey was carried out on the Great Wall along Helan Mountain in order to prepare the conservation plan for Great Wall in Ningxia, and preliminary cognition was established.
