旅美华人作家陈谦的小说创作近年来越发受到国内学者的关注,她的作品风格兼具理科的逻辑性和文学的敏感度。其作品总是存在一股"求真"的力量。于人类个体而言,她希望人们给予自我审视,寻回本真的自我;于整个民族,她呼吁海内外的华人寻求真实的历史;于她自己,"求真"在于重构记忆中最真情的故乡,从故乡中获得源源不断的养分,在故乡经验里找到自己真正的身份标识。通过文学,她找到了一扇通向心灵世界的门,这种引导人求真的力量,成为她创作中从一而终的思想内核。

Domestic scholars have been recently paying more and more attention to fiction creation of Chenqian, the Chinese writer in North America. Her works are stylistically logical in science and sensitive in literature. The fictions of Chenqian always show a power of seeking the truth. For human being, she hopes people to seek the root and the origin of inner heart; for the Chinese nation, she hopes people to face up the past and be responsible for the history; for herself, she hopes to reconstruct the hometown in her works and look for her own identity in foreign country. The impulsion to seek the truth becomes the creative idea in Chenqian＇s fictions.
