Inspiration for English Teaching Reform from National Vocational Students Skills Competition

职业技能竞赛作为职业教育的一项创新,起到引领职业院校教学方向的作用,同时作为衡量高职院校人才培养和教学质量的重要标准之一,竞赛的举办牵动了职业教育各个方面的改革。以高职高专实用英语口语大赛为例,通过对竞赛目的、内容的介绍,以及对以往竞赛经验的总结与分析,就技能竞赛对高职英语在教学内容、教学评价及人才培养和师资力量等方面改革的启发进行了探讨。

As an innovation and criteria for the teaching quality of vocational colleges,national vocational students skills competition plays a leading role in the reform of vocational education. Taking ＇ Practical English Speaking Contest for Professional College Students＇ as an example,this paper introduces the purpose and content of the competition,summarizes author＇s past experience,and proposes changes to the teaching of vocational English.
