摘要
庞德的《诗章》语言多、文体多、新词多,令人目不暇接,给人以前所未有的阅读体验。包罗万象的知识,往往表现为非中心、非系统、拼贴式的语言结构,需要借助顶针等所谓"套材"的重组之后,才能建立起各种知识之间的内在关联。《诗章》对生命本质的追求和对生命历程的探究,则在时空轴上诗化地构筑起多元的坐标。中心的建构过程即对生命本身的书写过程,而在中心化与边缘化的动态运动中,既用人衡量万物,也用万物衡量人,则体现了庞德主张的表意语言的强大表现力。
The Cantos of Ezra Pound stands like a kaleidoscopic giant of intertwining languages, genres, and coinages, shocking its readers with an overwhelming experience they have never had. Its rich knowledge, scattered and collaged and fragmented, could only be illuminated after a verbal reconstruction with the assistance of anadiplosis and other "binding matters" Pound purposefully offers but tactically shadows among other experiences. Its quest for life poses itself in a Cartesian coordinate system whose horizontal and vertical axes are correspondent to the paradigmatic and syntagmatic relations of Modern Linguistics. Pound's continual attempts to build up the center of this system turn out to be a poetic reproduction of human life in the Purgatory of the Now wherein the center and the margin are constantly articulating and dispelling themselves. The priority of Pound's language power highlights itself by throwing man at the center, watching and being watched by the entire world.
