Selected Works of Master of the Weixian Retreat is a self-selected essays collection that covers the essentials of Prof. Ou Hong＇s academic writing, which well demonstrates the character of transboundary. Ou has a broad view of scholarship both in China and in the West, well informed of both ancient and modern works. His essays, often with insightful views, cover such a wide range of academic fields, such as English and American Literatures, Comparative Literature Studies, Linguistic Studies, Stylistics Studies, Translation Studies, Modern Chinese Literature Studies, Modern Chinese History Studies and others.
