Situational method based on new course standards concept is a kind of advanced teaching method which is close to students, life and reality. It is conducive to make the class atmosphere active and improve teaching effectiveness. It is also good for developing the students＇ comprehensive quality and cultivating their practical ability and innovative spirit. This article analyses the significance of situational method used in senior high school ideological and political lesson, as well as the existing problems and suggestions.
