台州海洋民俗文化中的多模态隐喻现象及解读

Study on Multimodal Metaphor in Marine Folk Culture of Taizhou

认知语言学视角下的隐喻不仅仅存在于语言模态中,还存在于非言语模态中。从图像、颜色、声音和文字符号四种模态入手,透过台州海洋民俗文化中的多模态隐喻现象,挖掘台州人顽强拼搏的海洋精神以及期盼海上作业兴旺风顺的海洋信念,并进一步阐明多模态隐喻呈现出的模态相辅性、语境的意义决定性、信息传递性三大特征。

From the perspective of cognitive linguistics, metaphors exist not only in the verbalmode, but also in non-verbal modes. Based on the modes of pictorial signs, colors, sounds and writtensigns, by penetrating multimodal metaphorical phenomena in marine folk culture of Taizhou, it is valu-able to dig out the dauntless marine spirit of people in Taizhou and their marine belief that marine op-eration can be prosperous and smooth. Moreover, the three characteristics of multimodal metaphor interms of modal complementation, contextual meaning determination and information transmission are fur-ther summarized.
