Essentials of the West＇s Recent History is one history that was best-selling and widely influential in the interpretation-translation account of the west＇ s recent late Qing Dynasty. Following the strategy of cultural adaption, the translator reconstructed the wording and phrasing of the text for its brilliant literary grace to appeal to the expected readers.
