Reading plays an essential role in the life of the visually impaired. Specialized libraries for the blind and reading rooms for the visually impaired in public libraries ought to give full play to their functions and provide literature forms that cater to the needs of various visually impaired readers,thus guiding the group of people to take advantage of a wide spectrum of assistive devices to read. With equal access to information,the visually impaired shall be able to perceive the world,acquire knowledge,enhance skills and engage in social life better.
