我国农业发展的主要矛盾仍然是资源短缺与需求不断增长的矛盾,是产能不足而不是产能过剩。我国农业仍然面临严峻挑战,如何用越来越少的土地、越来越少的水资源、越来越少的农业劳动力,同时生产出更多、更好、更安全的农产品,来满足人们日益增长的需要,是目前亟须解决的问题。

The principal contradiction of China＇s agricultural development is still the contradiction between resources shortage and growing demand, capacity deficiency instead of overcapacity. China＇s agriculture still faces serious challenges, how to use declining land, water resources and agricultural labor force, produce better and safer agricultural products to meet the growing need of people is the problem need to be solved.
