Considering that to firm youth officers and soldiers＇ ideal and belief is a strategic project to restore the vigor and concerntrate the energy, this article analyzes the challenge confronted by the youth officers and soldiers to firm revolutionary ideal and belief in terms of theory and practice, focusing on the society, units and personal growth environment, and the ideological features of the officers and soldiers themselves, and finds out the fundamental approach to firming youth officers and soldiers＇ ideal and belief under the new situation and its countermeasures.
