The compilation of forest management plan is a complicated forestry planning program because of large data size and tedious procedure. With the growth of digitalization in modem forestry, the development of software system to aid the compilation is practically significant. The design of the aided design system for forest management program of Liaoning province is based on all types of national normative documents. With the existing forest resources data, all kinds of auxiliary modules are developed and invoked to provide all necessary data for the compilation. Then all index data are finally determined and after word processing a scientific forest management program is worked out.
