Impact Factors and Optimization for the VOC Performance of Weatherstrips in Automotives

对三元乙丙橡胶(EPDM)海绵密封条配方材料进行分析,研究了不同种类原材料对整体配方的挥发性有机化合物(VOC)的贡献量,并分析了不同种类原材料中VOC挥发的原因和机理,对比了环境、停放时间、生胶种类、炭黑、增塑剂、硫化体系、胶粘剂和胶粘带等因素对密封条产品VOC性能的影响,进而选择最优的原材料和生产工艺,开发低VOC的海绵密封条产品,达到降低整体密封条产品VOC挥发量的目的,并降低整车VOC,满足汽车行业越来越严格的环保要求。

The EPDM sponge rubber weatherstrips kinds of raw materials to the VOC performance and were studied. The contribution of the different the mechanism of the VOC emissions were analyzed. The environment conditioning time, raw rubber, carbon black, plasticizer, curing system, adhesives and tapes, and other factors affected the VOC performance. Optimum raw material and production process were developed to meet the requirements of low VOC emission weatherstrips.
