马来亚时期中国文学作品在新马地区译介特点

Characteristics of Chinese Literary Works Translated in Baba Malay in Malaya Area During Malaya Period

在新加坡、马来西亚同属马来亚区域的历史时期,马来亚的土生华人们用峇峇马来语译介了70多部中国文学作品。这些译作大部分属历史、爱情和侠义题材;它们与说唱文学在题材上有较多重叠,大部分译作保留有说唱文学的惯用句式,且这些作品多是说唱文学中的经典作品,经历过几代说书人的传播和改编;中国文学译介作品只在峇峇创办的刊物上刊载,并与峇峇创办的出版业有紧密联系;被译介的中国文学作品全是使用拉丁化马来文书写。峇峇译介的中国文学作品为中马文学交流奠定了坚实的基础,而且峇峇出版业领先使用和推广拉丁化马来文字,对当时的文化传播和现代马来语语言文字的发展作出了积极的贡献。

In the historical period when Singapore and Malaysia belong to the same area of Malaya,Malaya＇s Cina Peranakan or Baba chose and translated more than 70 Chinese literary works in Baba Malay.Most of these translations belong to history,romance and chivalry theme.In theme aspect they have much overlap with rap literature,most of the translated works retain common sentences of rap literature,and are classic works among rap literature which were disseminated and adapted by several generations of storytellers.The translated Chinese literary works were only found published in Baba publications,closely linked with Baba publishing industry,and were all written in Latin Malay.These characteristics illustrate that the Baba translated Chinese literary works had laid a solid foundation for Chinese and Malay literature exchange,and Baba＇s publishing industry leaded and promoted the use of Latin Malay word,which made a positive contribution to the culture spread of that time and the development of modern Malay language and words.
