Stem Pruning Method of Lingnan Bonsai

大树型盆景和双干型、三干型盆景的截干法是岭南盆景制作手法的五大法则之一。其以巧妙的艺术技法对盆景干体进行截干加工,形成旋转扭曲,使干身富有千年老树的体态,配合岭南盆景造型的需要,加工后盆景整体更富天然、苍劲、古朴。

This paper narrates bonsai pruning process for single trunk, double trunk and triple trunk. The pruning process is one of the five methods to make Lingnan bonsai. By using it strategically to process the stem body twisting and rotating, the main stem becomes full of millennium charm. To meet styling need of Lingnan bonsai, the bonsai artists develop more natural, older an d stronger, and quainter after process.
