幽默语篇的语域混合视角阐释

Interpreting Humorous Texts: From the View of Register Mixing

系统功能语言学的语境模型确立了语境因素和语义系统之间的耦合关系。依据Halliday语境模型及其语域理论,考察幽默语篇的语义系统与对应语境因素之间的关系及其意义。分析发现:语篇的语境因素与相应的语义及其体现形式之间存在某种"不和谐",产生语域混合,听众/读者的"期待落空"导致幽默发生。语域混合出现越多,幽默效果增强的可能性越大,从而产生"幽默叠加效应"。

The Context Model and Register Theory in SFL establish a systematic relationship between contextual features and semantic system. By integrating those two theories,this paper analyzes three Chinese humorous texts. It is found that when the register mixings are created in the incongruities between contextual features and functional meanings,readers and audience’s expectations will be defeated and thus humor occurs. The more register mixings there are in a particular text,the more likely it is to enhance the humorous effect. Hence comes ＂the effect of cumulative humor＂.
