History of Nanyuan Aviation School(1913-1928)

南苑航空学校作为我国第一所专门培训飞行员的航空学校,在15年里共培养了167名飞行人才。这些学员作为最早培养的航空飞行人才,无疑是中国航空事业的先驱,为我国航空事业的发展做出了不可磨灭的贡献。

Nanyuan Aviation School was established in Beijing in 1913 by Yuan Shikai, a warlord in Northern China at that time. Before it was put an end to in 1928 as the regime was upturned, 167 pilots altogether had been recruited there during its 15 years of existence. The school was the fi rst specializing in training pilots in China, and it would be always remembered as a pioneer who made contribution to Chinese aviation industry development in history.
