The Value of Local Records in the Compilation of Chronological Biographies of Famous People-Taking Zhu Yizun and Wei Xi,Famous Scholars at Early Qing Dynasty as Examples

年谱与地方志之间存在一定的学术关联。通过分析地方志在清初著名学者朱彝尊、魏禧二人年谱编撰中的作用,不难发现地方志对年谱的编撰有决疑、纠谬、补缺、印证、补充完善、列同存异等作用。因此,要想编撰出较高质量的年谱,地方志有着重要的资料价值。

There are certain academic connections between chronological biographies and local records. Through analysis of the role of local records in the compilation of chronological biographies of Zhu Yizun and Wei Xi,famous scholars at early Qing Dynasty,it is not difficult to see that in the course of chronlogical biographies compilation,local records play the role of dispelling doubts,correcting mistakes,repairing oversights,verifying recordings,adding up and making perfect,and listing similarities and preserving differences. Therefore, local records have important value as reference materials for chronological biographies compilation.
