思辨应用于独立学院大学英语写作教学研究

The Application of Critical Thinking in Teaching English Writing in the Independent College

摘要 传统的英语写作教学倾向于采用灌输式教学,存在重语言技能训练、轻思维能力培养等问题。将思辨训练应用于独立学院非英专学生的写作教学,具有理论意义和实践意义。以样本独立学院的非英专一年级两个班为受试对象,分别进行为期16周的引入思辨训练的实验写作教学和没有引入的常规写作教学,研究其教学效果的差异。结果表明:第一,实验班学生的学期末写作成绩与学期初成绩相比均有明显提高,存在显著差异;第二,常规班学生的学期末写作成绩与学期初成绩相比均有提高,但不存在显著差异。 In the conventional English writing class,"infusion teaching"approach is usually adopted, emphasizing the training of language skills, neglecting the cultivating of critical thinking. Therefore, it is of theoretical significance and practical value to apply critical thinking to the teaching of English writing. The subjects are the freshman non-English majors from a sample Independent college. They form two classes and go through a 16-week tentative teaching(adopting critical thinking)and a 16-week conventional teaching(without critical thinking) respectively. Their scores are contrasted and they demonstrate: 1) The students from the tentative class have improved their writing ability and their final results are different from those at the beginning of the semester; 2) The students from the conventional class have also improved, their writing ability;but their final results are not so different from those at the beginning of the semester.
