Jonang is influential as a sect of the Tibetan Buddhism, but in history, the sect was desolate and margin-alized, and even suppressed, so it had experienced many hard years. As a sect of the Tibetan Buddhism, Jonangsect has its own theological system, unique development track, specific lineage; what＇s more, it has its own be-lievers. This article, by referring to both Chinese and Tibetan historical materials, reveals the developmentcourse of Jonang sect and the diversity of the Tibetan Buddhism culture.
