The Shuangfendun Burial Mounds are located at Dalang Village in Shiwan Town, Hepu County. In 2012, Guangxi Institute of Cultural Relic Protection and Archaeology conducted excavation to the mound numbered as D2 of these burial mounds. D2 is a burial mound with multiple burials, in total three burials of the Qin and early Western Han Dynasties on which were excavated. All of these burials were rectangular shallow graves dug out of artificial earthen mound, from which grave goods such as pottery vats, cups andpou-jars were unearthed. Another mound numbered as D1 which was excavated in 2004 would also be a burial mound whose date might be the mid Western Han Dynasty. The styles of the burials and grave goods showed that this burial form originated from present-day Jiangsu and Zhejiang, which have ever been the territories of the Wu and Yue States, and they were brought in by the southward migrated Yue people after the annexing of the Yue State by the Chu State.
