小臣(讠逨)簋新论

A New Opinion on the Xiaochen Lai Gui-tureens

文中对现藏台北"故宫博物院"的两件小臣(讠逨)簋的流传及器盖铭文进行了分析,认为这两件簋在流传过程中器盖被错置,并一直沿袭至今。铭文所涉及的西周时期重要历史人物伯懋父与文献记载的康伯髦也并非一人。根据与"伯懋父"相关铜器的形制和铭文的分析,认为小臣(讠逨)簋应属昭王前后。

There are two bronze gui-tureens named ＂Xiaochen Lai Gui＂ in total, both of which are collected in the Palace Museum at Taipei. This paper makes a reexamination to their discoveries, provenances and chronological issues. Through close analysis to the script styles of their inscriptions, this paper suggests that their lids and bodies were interchanged by mistake during the process of transmission, and the mismatching has been kept to the present. This paper makes an in-depth discussion on the name ＂Bo Maofu＂ mentioned in the inscriptions： in the past, because of the mistakes made to the identifications of Bo Maofu and Kang Bomao （the second lord of the Wei]~ State）, the two Xiaochen Lai Gui were also directly misdated. This paper points out that Bo Maofu and Kang Bomao did not overlap in their lifetimes, therefore they should be two different historical characters rather than the same person. By analyses to the types and decors of the bronzes relevant to Bo Maofu, this paper suggests that the date of the Xiaochen LaJ Gui would be around the reign of King Zhao of the Western Zhou Dynasty.
