潮州地处广东省东北角，距离省会广州有五百公里之远，以至于潮州人常常自嘲自己的家乡是“省尾国角”。尽管当下潮州一直籍籍无名，但倘若你有幸去到潮州，你会愕然发觉，原来传统中国的许多生活面貌一直都在这里留存着，鲜活如初。事实上，潮州的景象，绝非“繁华”二字就可以概括，深入挖掘，你总能发现最传统的中国。
Located in the northeast corner of Guangdong Province, 500 kilometres away from the provincial capital Guangzhou, Chaozhou is often self-mocked by its people as ＂the corner of the country and the tail of the province＂. Although Chaozhou is not widely known to the world at present, if you happen to go to Chaozhou, you will be surprised to find that much of the traditional Chinese life has been preserved there, fresh as new. In fact, the scene of Chaozhou can＇t be summed up by the word ＂flourishing＂.
