《美国独立宣言》的系统功能语言学分析

A Systemic Functional Linguistic Approach to The Declaration of Independence

本文运用以Halliday为代表的系统功能语言学思想,分别从情景语境、主位和述位、及物性、语篇的衔接和连贯等四个方面对《美国独立宣言》进行分析。结果显示:对政治语篇的解读离不开其所处的情景语境,从系统功能语言学的角度研究政治语篇的意义生成机制更能反映"语篇作为语义单位"的思想。

From the perspective of Hallidayan systemic functional linguistics, the paper analyzes The Declaration of Inde- pendence in terms of context of situation, theme, rheme, transitivity, cohesion and coherence. The result indicates that an interpre- tation of political discourses will be achieved within its context of situation and the text as a semantic unit will be better explicated if the meaning generation mechanism of political discourses is examined within the framework of systemic functional linguistics.
