Counting on one's fingers is a spontaneous and natural behavior at the beginning of learning mathematics of the deaf students. Children use their hands to know and count numbers, similar to operate learning tools. The process of counting fingers is not only the process of counting and calculating process of the deaf students, but also a process of learning and thinking via dactylology, helping the deaf student to overcome difficulties at the beginning of learning mathematics. The mathematics teaching of the deaf schools should conform to this cognition feature and design a methodology of counting fingers suitable to the learning characteristics of the deaf students to guide them using their fingers to count and calculate scientifically and improve their proficiency levels of mathematics continuously.
