Clinical application status of the idea of preventive treatment of disease

"治未病"是中医学重要的防治思想,不仅在古代的许多历史时期都备受医家的重视,而且对现代医学的发展也具有重要的意义。本文从"治未病"的实质内容及在医学上的运用,来探讨"治未病"思想的研究进展,提示我们应继承和运用好这一思想,发挥其优势,为现代医学发展作出更大贡献。

The preventive treatment of disease is quite an important prevention and cure idea in traditional Chinese medicine（TCM）, which was not only greatly emphasized by ancient medical practitioners in different historical peri- ods ,but also plays a significant role in the development of modem medicine.The paper studies the essential content of preventive treatment of disease and its application to medicine, discusses the research progress of preventive treatment of disease, suggests that we should well inherit and apply this idea so as to exert its advantages and make great contri- bution to modem medical development.
