摘要 A report, released by the Chinese Academy of Press and Publication in 2015, indicates a mere 10 percent of survey respondents read a lot of books, while 44.1 percent of respondents do not read much. Those who do not read much say it is because they have little time for reading. When they do have free time, they usually spend it reading on new media instead of books. People shape their world outlook, develop their interests and obtain their knowledge through reading. Chinese actress Liu Yah once said, "People usually joke that an ugly person should read more. I think it is disgraceful that a person doesn't like reading, whether the person is ugly or not."
