语境维度论关照下《鸿门宴》英译语用规则研究

The Pragmatic Rules in English Translation of the Chinese Classic Hong Men Yan from the Perspective of Contextual Dimensions

本文以哈蒂姆和梅森在《话语与译者》中对语篇语境的多维关照为视角,从交际、语用和符号三个语境维度论述《鸿门宴》中部分篇章英译,探讨原文与译文意义转化背后的语用规则差异。并提出在进行汉语典籍英译时,应多维剖析原文语境,挖掘原文篇章语言形式背后的隐含义,并按照英语文化中的语用规则重构语境,再现原文含义。

Under the perspective of multidimensional analysis of context which was proposed by Hatim Mason in their work Discourse and the Translator,the paper will analyze several parts of Hong Men Yan and the English version of it from communicative,pragmatic and semiotic perspectives. There are discussions about the differences of pragmatic rules beyond the meaning transfer from source text to target text. This paper proposed that translators should analyze multidimensional contexts while translating Chinese Classics into English in order to explore the implied meanings behind the text. Furthermore,the contexts should be rebuilt in English according to their pragmatic rules in English Culture to successfully transfer the meaning.
