A Discussion on the Impact of Financial Factors on International Oil Prices

随着世界经济的发展,石油与金融已经密不可分。当今的国际油价同时受到供求关系等市场因素和金融、地缘政治等非市场因素的影响。本文主要针对金融因素对国际油价的显著影响,从石油定价机制的金融化、美元币值对国际油价的影响和国际投机资本操纵石油价格三方面进行分析,以进一步认识石油价格的形成和波动规律,掌握石油金融市场特点。

With the development of the world economy, oil has become inextricably linked with finance. Nowadays, international oil prices are subject to the influences of both market factors such as supplydemand relationship and non-market factors such as finance and geopolitics. The paper is a focused study on the significant influence of financial factors on international oil prices, which covers three aspects, i.e. the development of a finance-based oil pricing mechanism, the impact of the US dollar value on international oil prices and the manipulation of oil prices by international speculative capital. The aim is to have a better understanding of how oil prices are determined and fluctuate, and develop a clear picture of the characteristics of the oil financial market.
