English newspapers, as a kind of current affairs English, with a wide range of information di- versity, are kind of living materials for higher vocational students to understand social life and language development and change. This article discusses how to improve students＂ reading ability by enlarging their vocabulary in College English teaching, and eventually to improve their comprehensive ability of English.
