摘要
本文用问卷调查的方法考察了来华留学生汉语学习的动机类型。问卷包括20个有关为什么学习汉语的问题,主要根据前期研究中开放式反馈编制而成。SPSS因子分析结果显示,来华留学生的汉语学习动机可以分为职业发展动机、机遇动机、内在兴趣动机、经验动机和重要他人影响动机五大类。五种动机既有内在动机,也有外在动机;既有长期动机也有短期动机。多元方差分析表明,学习者个体因素对不同动机类型有不同的影响,其中学习者母语背景、是否华裔、是否汉语及相关专业等因素对学习者动机类型影响较大。
This paper presents part of a longitudinal research project on Chinese language learners' moti- vation changes during their study in China. The purpose of the present research was to achieve classification. Tile instrument was a Likert-scale questionnaire which included 30 items regarding a basic learning motivation, based essentially on a summary of open responses collected in a guided research. Five factors resulted from the analysis: 1 ) career, 2) opportunity, 3) interests, 4) experience and 5) important oth- ers' influence. There are both internal and external; both long term and short term motivations in these five factors. Results also showed that the individual differences can influence these five factors differently. Mother languages, (non-)heritage and majors influence five factors stronger than the other factors.
